  Kiss a Pig

Olivet Boys & Girls Club began a special community event in 1994 called the Kiss-A-Pig contest as a creative way to raise awareness about the Boys & Girls Club’s mission in Reading & Berks County.

The event has become one of the most fun and talked about events in our community. To date, the event has raised almost $1.5 million for the kids of our community who need us the most.

The contest, along with its sponsor and candidates, enjoyed a great deal of local publicity, including newspaper, radio and television coverage throughout the12 week period. This year the contest ran from February 14 until May 25, 2010.
